What makes car sales commission different
The pack comes off first
Most stores deduct a pack — commonly a few hundred to over a thousand dollars — from the front-end gross before your percentage applies. A $2,400 gross with an $800 pack pays on $1,600.
New and used often pay differently
Many pay plans use separate percentages for new and used, or pay flats on used inventory. Toggle 'different rates for used' in the calculator if that's your store.
Tiers reward the second half of the month
Volume tiers raise your percentage as you sell more units — and some plans pay the higher rate retroactively on every deal once you get there.
